While 229 million \u20ac of these are in collective catering (+5% in 2015), 182 million \u20ac are in commercial catering (+ 10% in 2015).<\/p>\n<h3>Other considerations:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; First of all, <strong>71%<\/strong> of the organic products that <strong>are consumed in France come from France<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Furthermore, regarding imported products, <strong>15% come from countries from the European Union<\/strong> and the remaining part from the rest of the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Lastly,<strong> 43% of imports are exotic products<\/strong> (banana, cacao, coffee,\u2026) or Mediterranean products (olives, citrus fruits,\u2026), which France does not produce or only has low production.<\/p>\n<h2>Details of sales regarding distribution channels:<\/h2>\n<h3>The used distribution channels<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6392\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonaexport.projectes.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Barcelona-Export-1-9.png\" alt=\"The used distribution channels\" width=\"663\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/barcelonaexport.projectes.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Barcelona-Export-1-9.png 663w, https:\/\/barcelonaexport.projectes.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Barcelona-Export-1-9-300x152.png 300w, https:\/\/barcelonaexport.projectes.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Barcelona-Export-1-9-500x254.png 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 663px) 100vw, 663px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since 2011, o<strong>rganic sales growth in supermarkets has been relatively weaker than in other distribution channels.<\/strong> In 2016, the importance of developing sales of fruit and vegetables and grocery products in this circuit helped to maintain market share at almost 45%.\u00a0 In comparison, specialized organic distribution is at 37%, direct sales from producer to consumer at 13% and from artisans or traders at 5%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The distribution of specialized organic products continues to be the most dynamic circuit with a growth rate of almost 24%<\/strong>. This is not only thanks to the opening of new stores, but also due to the increase in the average basket. Direct sales experienced slightly slower growth (+15%).
